Christine R. Bay

Multidisciplinary Visual Artist, Singapore

Christine R. Bay (b:1981) is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Singapore who works in various traditional, digital and mixed media.

Deeply inspired by nature, self versus collective identities, human psychology and the intertwining world of science and spirituality, Christine loves playing into the allegorical and surreal for her painted portraits and sculpture works. She also does paintings of the “mundane” on the side and is currently exploring the more “conceptual” aspect of art with the -ologies Study Group (by Fertile Art Refinery, a local all female art collective).

Christine has a background in computing (Bachelor of Computing with merit, National University of Singapore, 2003) and has gotten a Diploma in Toy Production at 3Dsense Media School in 2022.

Christine has participated in various international and local group shows including The Portrait Shows by Modern Eden Gallery in the US, had her first solo show “Onion and Moths” at Mr Lim’s Shop of Visual Treasures in 2023, and co-managed & participated in a NAC-backed trio show “Emotional Dumping” at Your Mother Gallery in 2024.

Currently, she is an artist with the Textile Paper Lab (a subsidiary group under Post Museum’s Renew Earth Sweatshop), an artist with Fertile Art Refinery’s -ologies Study Group and a member of the Sculpture Society Singapore.
