“Onion and Moths” is Christine’s first solo show held at Mr. Lim’s Shop of Visual Treasures in November 2023.
Based on Carl Gustav Jung’s phenomenon of synchronicity, “Onion and Moths” chronicles Christine’s journey in mental health revelations and recovery which seemingly coincided with specific events, patterns and music she noticed during a recent dark period. From being lost and questioning the purpose of existence; to gaining control back in life and understanding self-worth, each work corresponds to a major emotional event and music piece, while the whole collection peels back layer upon layer in finding her truths and finally forging transformation.
