Christine R. Bay

SINGULARITY is a series of sculptures by Christine delving into the complex psychological relationship between technology and humanity.

Part of the EIDOS trio show by BODHI, MOMO and Christine. R. Bay, held at The Fluxus House Gallery.

Inspired by the Greek philosopher PLATO’s “Theory of Forms”, EIDOS, which translates to “essense” in Greek, aims to portray the artists' personal ideal visualization of their artistic practice and interests. By attempting to envisages an ideal and non-physical essences into physical artworks, the artworks' concepts juxtapose the Platonistic philosophical theory of artworks being imitations of the world, which itself is an imitation of the “aspatial” and “atemporal” Form.

Despite having dissimilar artistic themes, BODHI, MOMO and Christine R. Bay present similarly vibrant artworks with complimentary styles composed mainly of figures integrated with abstract compositions within each artwork.
